When you use Blue Hound, any Bluetooth devices you find will be uploaded to the cloud via Apple's CloudKit. This allows you to search for devices you have found in the past. You can search by name, date or distance.
Examples of the type of information collected and stored in the cloud include the following:
All the public information from the bluetooth devices you scan.
Your latitude/longitude location.
Your elevation above sea level.
Your speed and course.
The compass heading of your phone.
The GPS location quality.
The time and date.
The type of device you are using.
Personal information, such as your name or email address, is never used by Blue Hound in any way.
We may use information from bluetooth devices you have found to improve the quality of the Bluetooth device recognition. We use this information to turn otherwise undecipherable numbers and text into easy to understand descriptions including the manufacturer and model of each device when possible. The identity of the users who found the devices will always be kept anonymous. None of the data stored in the cloud is encrypted by Blue Hound.
